This site shows several interactive maps which allow locating users of different gay dating apps.
These flaws are public and the developers still did not take action, they risk the life of hundreds of gay men in Egypt, Iran, ...
I strongly recommend *everyone* not to use any of these apps.
To get an idea what's it all about, check the grindr-case.
Basically all these apps send very accurate distance-information, so a trilateration is possible and the exact location can be computed.
Some of the apps are even worse and send the exact latitude/longitude-information of their users.
Note: These maps display only blurred profile pictures and the username. The raw responses include a full dataset with age, height, weight, ethnicity, ...
I block requests for countries with anti-gay-law. Users in those countries will not be displayed on these maps, but they are still locateable.
Contact the app-developers to make them protect users in countries with anti-gay-law.
Let's start with jack'd.
This is one of the apps that reveal the exact location of their users. It is possible to query thousands of guys with a single request.

Next one is SCRUFF.
You don't even need an account to perform requests. They allow performing a trilateration by providing very accurate distance-information. Even if "hide distance" is set, they still provide the exact distance-information.

Good old friend Grindr.
They now use a technique to block distance-request for users in countries with anti-gay law. Users in other countries may disable the "show distance"-option, so they cannot be located easily.
